Villa look for another upset
Aston Villa manager Martin O’Neill’s his side are capable of causing another Premier League upset against Manchester United this weekend.
The Midlanders pulled off a shock 2-0 victory away to Arsenal last week and O’Neill thinks that the unexpected win could serve as a boost.
Villa are now one point behind Manchester United in fifth place, but have a terrible home record against the champions, who have won on their last six league visits to Villa Park.
“Arsenal? The result allied to the performance was really terrific. It was full of really good football and has certainly given a big boost of confidence to the players,” Goal.com reported the Irish boss as saying.
He went on: “We were so brave, so strong and so attack-minded. It was exhilarating. Now it’s United. What do they do after the Arsenal win? They just have to take it on again…that will be very important.”
United could be without Dimitar Berbatov for the fixture - the striker came off with a hamstring problem in Bulgaria’s mid-week defeat to Serbia.
