Walcott adds to England worries
A dislocated shoulder suffered by Theo Walcott in training has further depleted the England squad ahead of their upcoming international friendly with Germany.

The Arsenal winger was taken to hospital and could be out for up to three months, meaning that Fabio Capello can only choose from two recognised first-teamers for the game in Berlin - goalkeeper David James and captain John Terry.

Boss Capello will be hoping a few of England’s second string can grasp their opportunities to stake a claim for a first-team place, with Michael Carrick of Manchester United expected to start in the midfield in the absence of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.

Jermain Defoe looks set to get a run out up front with Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen all staying at home.

The Portsmouth hitman could be joined by club team-mate Peter Crouch, who has already bagged 14 goals for his country.
