Benitez keeps Reds feet on ground before PSV
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is worried that his team could let their current league form lead to complacency ahead of the Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven at Anfield tonight (Wednesday, October 1st).
The Reds are second on goal difference at the top of the Premier League table but Benitez believes his side must take one game at a time ahead of a visit from the reigning Dutch champions.
He commented: “When you are playing well and winning games, with everyone talking about how good you are, it is important to calm down and get people talking only about the next game.
“We have to make sure we do not listen to what is being said but just concentrate on the future.”
Midfield pair Javier Mascherano and Yossi Benayoun are both back from injury, while Robbie Keane continues his search for a first goal in Liverpool colours.
The two teams last met in the 2006/2007 Champions League, when eventual finalists Liverpool ran out 4-0 winners on aggregate.
