Johnson fit to fire for Fulham
Andrew Johnson, the most expensive signing in Fulham’s history, is looking to break his goal drought for the club this weekend.
Since joining Fulham for £11million, Johnson has failed to find the back of the net, and is hoping it will be a case of fourth time lucky when his club takes on West Ham United on Saturday.
Johnson missed the early part of Fulham’s season due to injury, but has since featured in two Premier League matches as well as a Carling Cup match.
“I’m pretty pleased with the way I’ve been playing, my touch is feeling good and I’m feeling positive. I could do with a goal but that will come in time, I’ve only played three games so I’m not worried about that. The main thing is that the boys have been putting me in the right places at the right times,” Johnson said on the Fulham website.
“My fitness is feeling good, I’ve been feeling a little bit tired towards the last 20 minutes of games. But I can get even sharper and I’m feeling good and positive.”
Fulham are currently languishing in 11th place in the Premier League table, with 2 wins from 4 games, including an historic defeat of Arsenal in their opening Premier League fixture.
