Giggs senses momentum ahead of Bolton clash
Bolton Wanderers have been sent an ominous message ahead of their north-west derby with Manchester United at the weekend - the domestic and European champions could be about to get on a winning streak.
Winger Ryan Giggs made the suggestion ahead of Saturday’s Premier League fixture at Old Trafford.
Giggs acknowledged that United have had a bad start to their campaign, but believes that the Red Devils can shoot up the table from their current position of 15th with a game in hand.
He commented: “We didn’t play well at the beginning of the season but over the last week or so we have played some really good stuff.
“This team is capable of going on a run and winning 10 games on the trot. Hopefully that run has started now and we can carry it on against Bolton.”
Brazilian midfielder Anderson looks set to be recalled after being omitted from the line-up in United’s last league game with Chelsea.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes that the former Porto player was fatigued after his exertions in the Olympics football tournament.
