Low sets about solving Spanish puzzle

Low sets about solving Spanish puzzle
German boss Joachim Low has admitted that some of the tactical questions posed by Spain ahead of the Euro 2008 final will involve some careful consideration.

Low professed to be impressed with Spain’s emphatic 3-0 triumph over Russia in yesterday’s (Thursday, June 26th) semi-final and believes they are worth a place in the Vienna showpiece.

He commented: “They proved in impressive fashion that they were the better team against the Russians and they have a more varied game than the Portuguese.

“Their midfielders constantly change positions and keep getting forward - all of which makes them hard to work out.”

Spain have not ruled out a return by striker David Villa, after the four-goal man suffered a thigh strain during the semi-final, while Germany must consider whether to field Torsten Frings after the Werder Bremen midfielder recovered from a rib injury.
